Privacy Policy
We've written these as plainly as we can. No legalese, no hiding behind vague language. If you have a question, just ask us at [email protected].
The short version: we collect only what we need to run the service. We never sell your data. Ever.
What we collect and why
Account info
When you sign up, we ask for your name and email address. That's so we can create your account and send you important updates about the service. We won't use these to market to you unless you've opted in.
Messages and content
We store the messages and content you create and send through the platform so the service works as intended. Your content is yours. We do not read it, analyse it, or profit from it.
Billing info
If you're on a paid plan, payment is processed by a third-party payment provider. Your card details never touch our servers. We store a record of the transaction (last 4 digits, billing address) for invoicing and fraud prevention.
Usage data
We log basic activity like IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited for security and to understand how people use the service. This helps us catch abuse and improve things. We keep this data only as long as necessary.
Support correspondence
When you email us, we keep that conversation so we can give you better help next time. We don't share it.
What we don't do
- We never sell your personal data to anyone, full stop.
- We don't use your content to train AI models.
- We don't show you ads inside Say It Send It.
- We don't share your data with third parties for their marketing.
When we do share your data
To run the service
We use a small number of trusted third-party providers for hosting, email delivery, and payments. They only see what they need to do their job and are contractually required to protect your data.
If required by law
We'll only hand over data if we're legally required to by Australian law or a valid court order. We'll notify you if we can before complying, unless we're prohibited from doing so.
If we're ever acquired
We don't plan on this, but if Say It Send It is ever sold or merged, we'll give you notice well before your data moves anywhere, and you'll have the option to delete your account first.
How we protect your data
All data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Our databases are encrypted at rest. We take backups regularly, and access to production systems is strictly limited to the people who need it.
No system is 100% secure, but we take this seriously, do regular reviews, and will notify you promptly if there's ever a breach affecting your data.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your content is removed from active systems within 30 days and from backups within 60 days.
Want your account deleted? Email [email protected] and we'll take care of it.
Some basic records (like billing history) may be kept longer to meet legal obligations.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access: see what personal data we hold about you
- Correct: fix anything that's wrong
- Delete: request deletion of your data
- Export: take your data with you
- Opt out: of any optional communications

If you're in the EU or UK, you also have rights under the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies to keep you logged in and remember basic preferences. We don't use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the service may not work properly without them.
Where your data lives
Our servers are located in Australia. If you're outside Australia, your data may be transferred here when you use the service. By using Say It Send It, you consent to that transfer.
When you send messages via WhatsApp through Say It Send It, those communications are transmitted through WhatsApp's platform, which is owned by Meta. Any data handled in the course of that delivery is governed by WhatsApp's Privacy Policy and terms, not ours. We have no visibility into or control over how WhatsApp or Meta handles data on their end.
Artificial intelligence
Some features in Say It Send It are powered by AI. We use Vercel AI as the infrastructure layer. It routes your inputs to large language models and returns responses. When you use an AI feature, only what's needed for that interaction is sent (such as your message draft or prompt). We don't send your account details or full message history to any AI system.
Vercel's AI Gateway operates a Zero Data Retention policy, meaning prompts and outputs are deleted immediately after each request completes and are not stored. You can read more at vercel.com/legal/ai-product-terms.
We don't use your content to train any AI models. AI-generated suggestions are just that: suggestions. You decide what gets sent.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your data, we'll email you and update the date at the top of this page. We won't make surprise changes to anything important.
